Who We Treat

Our team treats adults from the Baltimore/Washington DC area and from across the U.S.

Our patients are diverse. They range from college students to at-home parents, mid-life professionals, and seniors.

Yet they all share a common goal: to get better and stay better, and overcome their previous disappointments with mental health care.

Our program is best suited for those who:

  • Feel stuck or plateaued in outpatient treatment

  • Need more support than occasional therapy appointments and/or meds alone

  • Have ongoing difficulty handling daily life despite repeated treatment attempts

  • Haven’t maintained improvement in their state of mind and relationships despite multiple attempts

  • As a step-down treatment referral (link) that provides a bridge back to independent living after inpatient treatment for mental health emergencies.

  • Have concerns that their current diagnosis or treatment plan does not reflect the most up-to-date or evidence-based knowledge

  • Want an alternative to residential or inpatient treatment that lets them stay at home or in a nearby hotel throughout treatment

  • Prefer close personal attention in a comfortable, non-clinical setting with a sense of community

  • Find that normal care is too fragmented and compromised by insurance company restrictions

I felt like a complete failure. I’d sit at my desk at work staring out the window all day and was close to losing my job. All I could think about was how badly I let my family down. My mind was swirling. People would talk to me but I couldn’t really take it in. My internist referred me to a psychiatric nurse-practitioner for meds and I finally saw a psychiatrist, but only every 3 months. My wife and I agreed that I just needed more than occasional check-ins and prescription refills.
